Journalist and writer translated for ten languages, Arias was correspondent for El País in Italy and the Vatican. Has been correspondent for the same newspaper in Brazil for 12 years and writes for the blog “Vientos de Brasil”. In Spain, received the "Cross of Civil Merit" by king Juan Carlos, for the ensemble of his work in Italy and the Castiglione di Sicilia Prize.
He was a priest of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, where he was secretary-general in Rome. He studied theology, philosophy, psychology and Semitic languages at the University of Rome.
