Post graduated in Public Policies and Government for Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Was reporter for politics in Jornal do Brasil, Folha de S.Paulo en O Globo. In 1995, won an Esso prize for the story Guerrilha no Araguaia, with Amaury Ribeiro Junior, Adriana Barsotti, Consuelo Dieguez and Cid Benjamim. The reporting revealed clandestine cemeteries used by Brazilian dictatorship agents to bury guerrilla members skeletons.
For IstoE magazine, was reporter and head of Rio de Janeiro branch office. Was also journalism director of TV Brasil. Since 2012, is executive director for O Dia newspaper, where has worked as economy reporter during his early career.
Is author autor, with Francisco Alves Filho, of Paraiso Armado – Interpretacoes da violencia no Rio de Janeiro (Garconi, 2003).
