Mahir joined Center for Investigative Reporting in December 2008. He started his career in journalism in the year 2000 on Radio Q (from Visoko, Bosnia), after which he joined Visoko Radio/Television where he worked as a radio and TV reporter until 2006. In March 2006, he joined NTV Hayat working as a journalist for the Morning Program, News at 7 and at the editorial board of the crime reconstruction program "Slučajevi X". He studied Journalism at the Journalism Department of the School of Political Sciences in Sarajevo. He has also taken training at the Media Center, the European Journalism center, and OSCE. In 2012 I have participated in a Reuters scholarship program on reporting on economy and politics in London, Bruxelles, Frankfurt and Berlin.
